Task 1
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away
- Get out yer handy notebook.
- Watch the great sci-fi shorts which you can find in the resources section below.
- Note down what you think the key point is that the writer wants to get across in each film.
- Is this a universal theme – can everyone relate to the message?
- Is this movie representative of its time period? Why do you think this movie was made at that time?
- Think about your own movie. Why would someone want to see it? Why does your message relate to what’s happening now?
Task 2
Bleed on paper: Get better at writing
- Search for dictionary, thesaurus, urban dictionary, grammar, and spelling apps.
- Download them onto your smartphone.
- Reconcile to check these apps anytime you find a word you don’t understand.
- Add these words to your personal lexicon, whether compiled in a notebook, in your smartphone notes, on a Trello board, etc.
